The House

Winner of the Sussex Design and Sustainability Award in 2005

The house comfortably sleeps six, arranged as one double with toplit en-suite shower room, one generously proportioned twin and a second twin comprising a purpose built bunk above a single bed below. In addition, there is also an extra sofa bed for two in a small lounge space off the main living room. The shared family bathroom has shower, bath and WC.

The main room is a sun-filled quadruple aspect flowing space comprising sitting room, dining room and beautifully fitted, stone clad kitchen. The dining table sits eight, while the dining space spills out onto sheltered decking terraces to both garden and beach sides. A suspended open log fire is a central feature, offering a welcoming focus on a dark, wet, winter evening.

The kitchen is equipped for twelve covers, with twin electric oven and five-ring hob with a wok burner – perfect for great entertaining over a short stay.

Built to a high end specification in 2002 the house has under floor heating throughout and high pressure hot water.

For Summer entertaining there is an outside table with benches along with two sun loungers and two deck chairs. For the keen swimmer, there’s the added thrill of an exterior warm shower to rinse off after a refreshing dip.
